H1N1 Clinics, Health Dept.
The Dubois County Health Department will hold H1N1 flu vaccine clinics
beginning Friday, January 8, 2010 from 8-11am and 1-3pm at the office
located at 1187 South St. Charles Street in Jasper. The clinics will be held daily. There is an ample supply of vaccine available. Everyone over the age of 6 months may receive the vaccine. There is no fee for the vaccine.
The Health Department has vaccinated over 10,200 Dubois
County residents against the H1N1 influenza since October,
2009. The County has administered 80% of the vaccine it has
received and ranks 8th in the state for the amount of vaccine received
versus the number of doses administered. By far,
the single best way to prevent the flu is for individuals to get a
vaccination. The flu season is just beginning and all the
activity being reported is due to the H1N1 virus. There is still
time to receive the vaccine and be protected from the H1N1 flu.

Assessments not Disrupted
Property owners throughout Indiana have read
headlines about
recent legislation delaying reassessments. This legislation
will
not stop assessors from beginning work immediately, however, so
