Dubois County Communications Center 911

The Dubois County Communications Center, located in Jasper at the Dubois County St. Charles Street Annex, provides radio dispatch services for all emergency service agencies in Dubois County.  Staffed seven days a week and twenty-four hours a day, the center is also the County’s central answering point for all 9-1-1 requests for emergency purposes, as well as non-emergency calls.

The County Commissioners appoint a director to supervise the Communications Center.

The typical scenario would be for an individual to place a  9-1-1 call for assistance, which is answered by a dispatcher located at the communications center. A second dispatcher would then dispatch the proper police, fire, or ambulance service in order to provide the needed assistance.
