Prosecuting
Attorney
The
Prosecuting Attorney is an elected official and must be a practicing
attorney. The office is held for four years. The
Prosecuting Attorney represents the State of Indiana and prosecutes
violators of state laws in various courts.
In Dubois County, the prosecuting attorney serves on a full
time
basis and may not continue to practice law on a private
basis.
The Prosecutor may appoint deputies and investigators to help collect
and assemble the evidence needed for criminal prosecutions.
