The deadline to register to vote, or to transfer voter registration, for the 2011 Municipal Election is Monday, October 10, 2011. Registration forms must be received in the Clerk’s office by 4:00 p.m. October 10th, or mailed forms must be postmarked by October 10th. Voters may register at the Clerk’s office, at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, or on-line at www.indianavoters.com. Voters may also check their current registration information, download an application for an absentee ballot, and see the candidates on their ballot at www.indianavoters.com.
Absentee voting for the 2011 Municipal Election will begin on Monday, October 10th, and will continue through Monday, November 7th. The schedule for absentee voting at the courthouse is:
Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
(NOTE: Closed between 11 a.m. and Noon)
Saturday, November 5th 8:00 a.m. - Noon
Monday, November 7th 8:00 a.m. – Noon
Voters wishing to vote absentee by mail must submit an Application for Absentee Ballot in order to receive a ballot by mail. Requests must be received in the Clerk’s office by Monday, October 31, 2011. The deadline to submit an application for absentee ballot requesting to vote before the Travel Board is Monday, November 7, 2011 at noon. Applications can be obtained from the Clerk’s office or at www.indianavoters.com.
